I am Ester van der Merwe and I aspire to inspire through my leadership, creativity and work-ethic. I am an ambitious, well-rounded individual and my previous activities and experiences is a testimony to this statement. My mission in life is to use my versatile set of skills to have a positive impact in my community through doing what I love. I obtained my undergraduate degree in BA Humanities in 2019 and am currently (2020) studying a Diploma in Marketing at the University of Stellenbosch. I have been involved in various extra-curricular activities such as leadership (being a house committee member and later serving as Primaria) and sport (by competing on various national levels) during my secondary and tertiary education. My involvement in these activities has taught me skills such as how to lead an organization and how to work effectively in a team to achieve optimal results. It has also provided me with excellent time management and public speaking skills and have taught me how to thrive under pressure. I am a critical thinker with adept problem-solving and people skills. I am always curious to learn and to better my skillset.
