Scope of work : Sourcing of reliable suppliers, Supplier audit /observation to check if supplier got capacity, Cost control & negotiating for disc , Negotiating for better prices for longer term e.g year or more, Upholding customer's required quality standard at all times. Negotiating for better turnaround times for deliveries & etc. Most importantly I have a huge pool of suppliers standby to offer a help at any given time. Example of previous and current experience, Previous exp : worked as a production coordinator Responsibilities : to order components for production lines from main warehouse, to check production plan and forecast in order to plan ahead for future weeks,backflushing production reports, do stock reckon daily to compare with system figures,investigate any variances and record them, transacting components between warehouses, receipting invoices for payment by accounts dept (grn), do wip jobs for steel and slitt them according to slitting instruction systematically,do transfers of steel from supplier warehouse to factory warehouse, receiving of goods for the whole company...using or running P/O query by order number and verify against physical goods and quantity delivered. Current duties : A buyer . Number of warehouses : 3, Ware house no1 : chemical stores for all lubricants used by factory, Warehouse no 2 : consumabels,ppe,BOM items for production, Warehouse no 3 : maintenance store For spares for our robotic machines, Updating min & max on every new month . Running order report to check shortages for orders to be placed. Running back order report and expediting for deliveries, Filing of documents, supplier visit and keep constant contact with suppliers Negotiating for discount and for fixed prices for longer period
