I believe that my experience has taught me to be more creative in my thinking. I started out in banking and left the financial industry in 2004 to take on the position of Operations Director in an ICT Business. I became the HR Director for the company sourcing IT Skills from afar as India and the USA. The company became insolvent as the contractual agreements and performance on these contracts were not being honored financially by government entities, thus creating a negative financial stranglehold for the owner of the company and this caused employees like myself to find other avenues of employment. I inadvertently had already registered and established a Travel Agency in 2004 prior to joining the ICT Company. I had 1 staff member running the agency. With her leaving to return to Zambia, I only started managing and working in the agency as from 2008 when we had nothing left in the ICT Company. I have to state that the Recruitment side of the ICT company grew exponentially under my leadership, bearing in mind that I had no formal qualifications with regards to recruitment, let alone recruitment within the ICT Space. I sourced a major bank as one of our clients and some IT Companies as well such as software developer houses. Prior to leaving the ICT Company, I managed to pay some of the staff salaries and some of the debt utilizing the profits we were earning from the recruitment side. I have strong interpersonal skills, work extremely well under pressure and will find ways to create opportunities for success for any company. Currently I am still involved in the tourism industry, specifically outbound tourism where we take groups to various countries they require to visit. We specialise in Tours to Israel and the Middle East, Greece and Turkey and had ad hoc soccer development tours to Spain, Manchester and Denmark. I love working with people and have a great rapport with my clients. Like many other industries and small businesses, the tourism industry has sadly been affected by Covid 19 and as the only income earner in my household I am looking for an opportunity to assist any company, willing to employ me and utilize my skills, to grow and become a force in the economy. I understand the concept of working smart in order to achieve goals, that is what small businesses are all about. This is what I do. We work hours where other people are still asleep, I am hardworking and resilient and tenacious in getting things done. I am a very fast learner as well.
