I have more than 10 years of extensive Southern Africa region experience in Pipeline, Roads, Earthworks, Water, Sewer, Building Construction and Cadastral Surveying. I am currently working as a Senior Engineering Surveyor for Rankin Engineering Consultants for the Kabwe Urban roads project. I worked as Engineering Surveyor cum Draftsman and interim site agent for Unik Construction Engineering Lesotho, where I have gained valuable working experience and fuelled my interest in engineering and civil construction supervision. I have completed my honors degree in Surveying and Geomatics with class 2.1 in year 2009 at the Midlands State University in Gweru, Zimbabwe. Whilst working in these projects I was made responsible for supervision, designing, draughting, planning, coordinating and overseeing pre-construction topographic surveys and dilapidation surveys as well as setting out of roads and pipeline routes. Through this experience I have learnt the importance of effective field surveys, Draughting and designing using modern survey equipment and draughting software and have subsequently gained strong communication skills. I also initiated and helped implement more efficient data collection procedures, which were quickly adopted throughout the company and helped improve efficiency. Having hands-on experience has also strengthened my knowledge of Land survey acts and regulations which act as general guidelines in international survey practices.
