I am currently employed as the Executive Manager for Human Resources at the Cape Grace Hotel, a five star hotel situated in the Waterfront. I have held several positions within the Non-Profit Sector where Diversity Management and Transformation was at the order of the day. Inclusivity to achieve a common goal was imperative in fulfilling the organisational mandate within the NGO (NPO) sector, where I spent 25 years of my career in different positions. In terms of Human Resource Management and Developement, I hold both a National Diploma and http://www.******.*** Degree in these fields and have been involved in all aspects of both during my entire career. I firmly believe in life-long learning have developed my capacity in General Management, Business Management, Developement studies and Human Resource Management. I am in my final year, completing a Master’s degree in Conflict Transformation and Management at the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth. Within my current position, I have restructured a brand new Human Resource Department, with a decentralised approach to managing Human Resources. With my team of 5 Human Resource Practitioners, I have also compiled an Employee Wellness Platform for the Hotel and its 415 employees through utilising information gained by company research. This enabled us to optimise the Wellness Platform, ensuring that the platform meets the needs of the employee and differentiates when to refer employees to our established network of organisations supporting our platform. I have also established a Development arm that generates training material and facilitates needs-based development for staff. My background in development studies has enabled me to utilise Research and Asset Based Community Development in order to drive home the principle of Sustainability Management. All organisations have to strive towards agility in order to adapt to the constant change within it environment. With change comes challenges that can be overcome with engagement of the hearts and minds of people who experience these changes. This makes the transitions in strategy within organisations smooth and bearable. I would like to ask for an opportunity to be interviewed to discuss my organisational fit and ability to add value.
