I am currently the Group Sales Director for one of the major salt producers and suppliers in Southern Africa and responsible for all sales throughout Africa, servicing the agricultural, retail, industrial and export sectors. Total sales increased by 35% after my first full year, with external sales increasing by 85% from 2012 to 2018. Critical to our success is the development of a long-term sales strategy incorporating in-depth analysis of the market and setting short term goals for each individual and team. The development of an efficient and focused sales team with proper motivation and incentives was integral to this success. Part of their development includes regular training, feedback to the teams on topics selected, challenging projects and individual coaching. I manage my team with fairness and empathy and support them in their task to drive sales revenue within their specific categories and increase customer value. I completed an Executive MBA programme at the University of Cape Town (Cum Laude) in 2019 and will receive my degree at the end of 2020.
