I am currently a Senior Implementation Manager that oversees the implementation of payrolls across 37 African countries from inception to full payroll processing including building the payroll, loading employees, running the payroll, facilitating payment for locals and expatriates both locally and internationally, third party funding and payments both locally and internationally and closing off the payroll with the relevant reporting and legislative submissions. I have over 13 years of experience within the payroll industry where I have managed various size payrolls ranging from 1 employee up to 40,000 employees in a single payroll run. These payrolls have been managed over various industries so I am quite familiar with payrolls affiliated to Unions as well as Bargaining Councils within the various sectors. I have used multiple payroll systems over the past 14 years or so and due to my experience and nature of the work, I have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the back end of systems from a system architectural point of view as opposed to a front end view as seen by most system users. This has served me in great stead as I learned how systems works from the ground up and what happens in the back end and I am now able to build and configure or solve technical issues as a result of this exposure. I am currently part of the Learning & Development tribe (department) of Axiomatic due to my extensive training experience that I have gained over the years both locally and internationally. I am responsible for finding gaps in our current process that could be addressed by additional training or coaching. I also research and compile the training material and deliver to both employees as well as clients if there is a need.
