I recently retired from Nedbank, for the second time, but consider myself much too young to be permanently retired. I would like to continue plying my trade as a Systems/Data Analyst as well as keeping my hand in at Cobol/DB2 programming if possible. I also have XML, z/Linux (UNIX) scripting and SQL experience that was still used as at my retirement on 31 January 2019. I was in the fortunate position whereby I was able to design and implement programs that detected and corrected certain client data elements prior to being uploaded to the IBM Algorithmics Credit Management system used at Nedbank. To me data quality is of the utmost importance as the system that I was responsible for, from a technical perspective, is crucial to Nedbank in that it the only point where a client's complete exposure to the bank is visible. I was also involved in supplying client related data to the Nedbank Data Warehouse.
