Good Morning. My name is Chad Crowley, 25 years of age. I got married on the 18 December and my wife is currently pregnant due in May this year. She is also graduating in Business Management in February. I've lived in Parkwood all my life, and with all challenges and strides, being in foster care I decided to continue my fight for a better life and that is what I strive for everyday. I have actively worked in my community for many years in trying to better it because the generational traumas we encounter could possibly derail us from our goals and visions that we might have to better our Community, to better Cape Town, to better South Africa and if possible play a positive role in the world. I've always been focused on my academics and one thing that I have told myself is that I never want to stop learning. Becoming a family man motivates me even more to reach for the stars and to believe that nothing is impossible. I have been actively involved in many positive activities within Cape Town and with the District Six Museum Curated 2 exhibitions around our heritage and where we come from as a people. I've also been a Facilitator with the museum to educate various organizations be it locally and internationally and due to this was nominated by the Nelson Mandela Foundation, to represent Cape Town at a youth conference in Germany, something that I see as an achievement even though I could not go because it was in my matric year. I was then involved in various other organizations within my community. I also held various leadership positions at School and College, namely: SRC Chairperson Head Boy History Society Chairperson Debate Club Chairperson and this continued throughout my tertiary education. I also received the Principal's Award in High School, being the first and only one to achieve that prestigious award since the establishment of the school. I did a 6 month, Public Administration Programme at False Bay College subjects being: Public Administration Management Communications Computer Pracrice Introductory Accounting of which I had passed. And at the end of last year completed my 12 Month studies in Public Administration and Management at Unisa, subject being: Public Administration and Management Information and Communications Management Human Resources Project Management Public Policy Financial Management. I have a huge interest in working with people hence the reason for my passion to study within the fields which I have chosen. I have again applied to study Public Law and am yet to receive feedback. Nonetheless, I have after careful consideration and lots of introspection decided that it is time for a fresh start, a start where I need to focus a bit more on myself and my family but not to stop serving the people I would humbly like to appeal to you for assistance in this regard.
