I was working as the Head of Money Laundering Control, Combatting the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) and Sanctions Risk management for Africa at Nedbank until August 2020. I was accountable for ensuring the customization, embedment and enforcement of an adequate and effective AML/CFT and Sanctions Program. I was further accountable for ensuring the customization, embedment and execution of the strategic vision for AML/CFT and Sanctions risk mitigation across all Rest of Africa jurisdictions, in support of Group ML/TF Control and various business initiatives. I have vast experience in Money Laundering, Governance and I am Admitted Attorney. The Law is such a beautiful art, although it is such a strict discipline, it creates and is open to interpretation and by using knowledge and techniques of debate, litigation and eloquent utterance you can obtain success over the strictness of the matter. I have completed my LLB degree, obtained my CAMS qualification, and have a post graduate diploma in Compliance. The post graduate diploma course is offered over two years with focus areas in compliance management, corporate governance, money laundering control and legislative interpretation. I have also attended and completed 6 month training course through L.E.A.D school for legal practice. I have written and passed all my board exams, namely, Attorney’s Bookkeeping, Estates, Court Procedures and Attorneys Practice (Ethics). I commenced articles at SG Attorneys in July 2010 and subsequently ceded my articles to Mchunu Attorneys, I officially completed my articles on the 07th of July 2011. I was admitted on the 3 of October 2011 as an Attorney. I am a self-motivated goal driven person with strong ambition to achieve. Through sheer determination I have achieved all my personal goals in sport, work and socially. I continue to set myself seemingly outrageous goals as I believe if one aims high, one can achieve ample success. I am performance driven, my abilities includes an inner drive to execute set tasks, to strive for excellence, to accomplish challenging objectives and to obtain results.
