I have extensive experience in the ICT industry, mainly obtained with global ICT vendors such as Oracle and Dell EMC across a variety of industries, working with customers and partners within South Africa and across the Middle East and Africa. I have a technology background with substantial experience as a Pre-Sales Cloud, Solution and Enterprise Architect. The roles I have held involved working with Account Managers and account teams, assisting to grow the relevant business within the client base, either product and solution sales or consulting services sales. I have worked as part of a team in these roles, sometimes leading the team and sometimes as a team member. I have extensive experience developing the correct solutions for clients across all components of the ICT solution (application, technology and infrastructure) to meet their business requirements, working closely with the account team and other key role players. My experience also covers strategic engagements with customers at a business level, engagements such as advisory consulting to assist organisations put in place strategic roadmaps to move to their end goals, considering Business, Application, Information and Technology architecture. My areas of specialisation are Cloud, Enterprise Information Management (including Big Data), Security and Business Continuity. Academically, I hold a first-class honours degree in Mathematics from Exeter University, a Master’s degree with distinction in Information Systems and a Doctorate in the field of Enterprise Grid Computing, both from Leeds Beckett University.
