I’m a self-motivated worker that always considers the bigger picture. I have excellent problem solving capability and always seek to improve operational efficiency. I will be bringing perspective, Insigne and view of the broader picture to the company. After obtaining my qualification in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University, I started working at Medupi Power Station. Here I was placed under the turned engineering department, and worked under several engineer and gain experience an all of the Turbine system. I also attended most commissioning activities to understand how they worked and how the commissioning engineers line–up as build processes to designed outputs to active target loads. In my current role as a Process engineer I have to regularly lead efforts to modify and optimise the operations of the unit to overcome current design or damaged system in order to maintain continues production and limit downtime. Due to the nature of the fault finding I have to do on a regular basis I have to understand how all the different system work. This has allowed be to build up quite a large knowledge pool in other areas such as; Switchgears; PLC logics; Programming; and Hydraulics.
