I am writing this as an expression of interest to work for your reputable company. I am Babalwa Yekelo, a student at the University of Cape Town currently studying Bachelor of Science Honours in Medical Biochemistry. I am originally from the Eastern Cape but recently moved to Cape Town to pursue my goals. I come from a disadvantaged home and I am a dependent of Nomvuyo Yekelo, who is my mother and is currently unemployed. The source of income that we have comes from the church as my mother is a committed church member and sometimes the Non-Governmental Organizations within our community offer her jobs that are temporary. We live in an area called Keiskammahoek with most people that are unemployed and many of them have never got to tertiary level. Being able to have tertiary level education is a privilege to me because my mother did everything in her power to make sure I am educated. I would appreciate working for your reputable company. I am confident that I will show good competency in the projects that will be due to me and will cooperate well showing maturity and self-discipline. Being granted the opportunity to work for your reputable company would be an advantage for as I will be able to support myself financially.
