I obtained my PhD in Audiology in 2009. I am a Professional Research Manager. I was a Senior Scientist at the CSIR for 7 years where I led the research programme on hearing loss prevention and participated in occupational health research. For the past 6 years I have worked at a research institute in Research management. I have extensive knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research practices and methodologies. I have experience and skills in proposal writing, grant applications and budgeting as well as post award grant and study co-oridnation. i have experience in research governance and research ethics. I have a portfolio of peer reviewed publications and conference presentations. I have supervised PhD and Masters level students. I have been the Chief Editor of the online peer reviewed Journal of Communication Disorders since 2014.
